This beautiful tidbit came across my desk this week at just the right time. I caught myself mentally griping about the way others do certain things... and then I saw this and remembered. I remembered the time back when I was a new school counselor and I promised myself that I would always go forth with the assumption that my colleagues do all that they do with the best of intentions. I firmly intend to remember this more regularly from here on out. I cannot imagine someone going into education without initial good intentions. Sometimes our emotions may cloud our judgement, but that does not mean we are being purposeful about doing the "wrong" thing.
